2004 SUMMER WECOME TO TECH PICNIC
August 7th, At East Roswell Park

A total of 76 people attended, of which 11 were NMGT members and spouses. Of the 65 guests, 22 were incoming Tech freshmen, and 43 were parents and siblings. The high schools represented by those 22 rising freshmen included Centennial, South Forsyth, Forsyth Central, Dunwoody, St. Pius, Northview, Roswell, Chattahooche, Pace Academy, and North Springs.

Twenty-nine students were expected (and a total with families of 99 guests), which is a 76% rate of attendance. This number is similar to years past, when we have had the event in late May. Therefore, having the event in August just before school starts did not increase the percentage-attendance. However, it did give Bill and Vicky more time to plan, which helped them a lot!

One of the parents volunteered to submit a write-up to a Forsyth Neighbor newspaper, and we will solicit articles to other papers in the North Metro area as well.
